The Rules

The Basics

  • •Check in after 4pm, check out by 11am unless we've arranged otherwise
  • •Only registered guests may stay overnight. Day visitors are welcome with a heads up
  • •Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. This is a residential building with wonderful neighbors
  • •No parties or events of any kind
  • •No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property including the lanai
  • •No pets

Respect the Building

  • •Park only in your designated stall
  • •Common areas and the shared BBQ follow posted building rules
  • •Keep entry doors locked and never share access codes

Malama the Ocean

  • •Reef safe sunscreen only. Hawaii law prohibits sunscreens with oxybenzone and octinoxate
  • •Never touch or approach sea turtles or monk seals. Admire from a distance, it's the law
  • •Rinse off sand at the outdoor shower before heading inside
  • •Conditions change fast out here. Check the ocean before you swim and never turn your back on the waves

Care of the Home

  • •Operate the motorized shades with the remote or app only, never by hand
  • •Please don't unplug or reset the WiFi, Hue or Sonos hubs
  • •No candles or open flames inside
  • •Report any issue within 24 hours and we'll handle it fast. Normal wear is expected and never a problem

Trash and Recycling

  • •Take trash to the dumpster before it smells. Don't leave bags on the lanai overnight
  • •Recycling bins are near the dumpster. Blue for cans and bottles, green for cardboard
  • •Flatten large boxes before placing in the recycling bin

Kitchen

  • •Run the dishwasher before checkout rather than leaving dishes in the sink
  • •Don't pour grease or oil down the drain

Security

  • •Lock the deadbolt when you leave, not just the handle lock
  • •Don't leave valuables visible from windows or on the lanai

Ocean Gear

  • •Rinse all snorkel gear, boogie boards, and beach chairs with the hose before storing
  • •Don't leave wet gear inside the unit overnight

Checkout

  • •Start a load of towels if you have time (not required, just appreciated)
  • •Turn off all lights and AC
  • •Leave keys and remotes on the kitchen counter

Longer Stays

  • •Utilities are included with reasonable everyday use
  • •Optional mid-stay cleaning is available at cost
  • •We may need occasional access for maintenance and will always give advance notice
  • •No subletting and no re-listing of the unit anywhere
